Big on Bikes are an accredited Bikeability Scheme Provider and a member of TABS (The Association of Bikeability Schemes).
Basic Bike Maintenance Courses
There are three Bikeability levels. A child will typically start Bikeability lessons once they have learnt to ride a bike, with 10–11 year olds progressing through to Level 2, and then Level 3 at secondary school (11–18 year olds).
Certificates and luminous badges for each level are awarded to children who successfully complete each course and children are encouraged and inspired to achieve all three levels, recognising that there is always more to learn and to enjoy on a bike.
Big on Bikes’ instructors were some of the first in the country to deliver the Bikeability syllabus. We now have a proven track record in delivering Bikeability courses to schools and voluntary groups.
In this academic year (2016-17) we have delivered training to over 1300 pupils in Amber Valley area.
Our Admin department will tailor make “Parent Information Letters”, consent forms, and Q&A guides specifically to your school or group.
Teachers and Admin staff are kept fully informed on session times, and who is needed when.
No other company spends as much time as we do ensuring your course runs as smoothly as possible. Building a strong partnership with schools has allowed us to grow year on year.
